Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Here’s some good news for Odia movie lovers. Tarang Cine Productions, the leading movie maker of the State, will be coming up with two high voltage Odia flicks during upcoming Raja festival.

The mahurat of ‘Sister Sridevi’ starring Babushan and debutant Shibani was held at Gadgadia temple in Cuttack, in presence of the crew members on Wednesday. The initial part of the movie is being shot at Kala Vikash Kendra in the city.

Directed by Ashok Pati, 'Sister Sridevi' has a number of captivating songs composed by Abhijit Majumdar.
"I got an opportunity once again to work with Tarang Cine Productions under the direction of Ashok Dada (Ashok Pati). The movie has a very good star-cast including Mihir uncle (Mihir Das), Mama (Aparajita) and a new heroine. I am excited about the storyline of the movie. It is an entertaining subject, which has potential to enthral the movie buffs during festival time," said Babusan.

Similarly, another untitled movie starring Anubhav and Elina, also had the Mahurat ceremony at a temple near Chahata ghat in Cuttack.

"I am sure the story will be handled differently as it is based on the character of a common man. I am happy that I have got a very good team for which I thank Tarang Cine Productions," Anubhav Mohanty said.

For the first time, two offerings from the Tarang stables will hit theatres simultaneously. "Tarang had been gifting good movies during Raja festival every year. But, this Raja we are looking forward to offer two good films simultaneously to our audience. We hope a positive response from the viewers,’’ said Manoranjan Sarangi, producer of Tarang Cine Productions
