Paradip: As many as 500 tanker drivers transporting petrol, diesel and aviation fuel from Indian Oil Terminal here have staged dharna after a driver was expelled from his job.

Irate over the act of the Oil Corporation, the tanker’s association has called a strike in protest and have demanded immediate reinstatement of the fired truck driver and treat him as a full employee.

Apart from this, more than 500 tankers have threatened to take their carriers off the road and denied transporting fuel to various parts of the state which is likely to disrupt the supply of fuels.
