Talsara MLA supporter alleges murder attempt

Sundergarh: In a shocking incident, one of the supporters of Talsara Congress MLA, Prafulla Majhi has alleged that some miscreants tried to abduct and kill him.

The supporter, Labanidhar Patel aka Bibek has accused one Dushmanta Sekhardeo of the attempted murder.

As per the complaint filed at the town police station, Patel has alleged that the accused called him over phone and later took him to a crematorium near RWSS office in the region.

"He came in a car with his friends and took me to the crematorium where he tried to shoot me. I, somehow, managed to escape and took shelter at the RWSS office," said Patel.

It is suspected that the incident to be the fallout of the political rivalry in connection with the recent Zilla Parishad vice-chairman elections.
