Bhubaneswar: Both India and New Zealand blind cricket teams arrived in Bhubaneswar for their T20 Blind Cricket World Cup tie which is scheduled to be held in the KIIT Stadium at Bhubaneswar tomorrow.

The defending champions, India are led by captain Ajay Reddy while James Dawn will be captaining the visitors.

The Indian team is currently leading the points table with 18 points from 6 wins in 7 matches. While India has won its matches against Australia, West Indies, Bangladesh, Srilanka, and South Africa; the New Zealand team is in the ninth place in the table with 6 points from 6 matches.

“Our team is playing really well. We have had a grand reception in Odisha and we are happy. We will try and put up good performances in future as well,” said Ajay Reddy.

“I am sure it’s going to be a nice big home crowd for the Indian team. It’s awesome to everyone come and watch blind cricket,” said James Dawn.

“It is a very proud moment for Odisha as Bhubaneswar has got an opportunity to host T20 Blind Cricket World Cup tie,” said actor Sabyasachi Mohapatra, who is the tournament brand ambassador.

Two Odia players who are in team are all-rounder Mohammed Jafar Iqbal and Sakhram Majhi.
