Bhubaneswar: Swine flu death toll today reached six in the State even as two doctors have tested positive for the virus. Authorities of the State’s Public Health department are now mulling to administer vaccine to medicos and medical staff deployed at the swine flu ward in hospitals.

One patient of Bargarh died at VIMSAR hospital whereas another resident of Jagatsinghpur became  victim of the virus at the SCB, Cuttack.

Swab samples of a doctor working at the Orthopaedic department in Capital Hospital and a junior doctor of SCB, Cuttack, were found positive for the vector-borne disease.

Panic has spread in the hospitals after information on doctors testing positive for swine flu came to fore.

Meanwhile, the number of swine flu affected persons has crossed 84 whereas six have succumbed to the disease till date.
