Bhubaneswar: The number of deaths due to swine flu reached four in the state today with one more person succumbing to the disease.

A woman, Santipriya, of Kotian village in Jagatsinghpur district died of the disease on Wednesday.

Earlier, a person succumbed to the viral disease in Bhubaneswar whereas two others died while undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and a private hospital in Bhubaneswar respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, out of the 27 blood samples sent for examination on Tuesday, 12 including five of females were tested positive for the H1N1 virus. With this, the total number of swine flu affected persons in the state rose to 71.
