Bhubaneswar: The Swine Flu death toll in Odisha rose to 44 with two more persons succumbing to the H1N1 virus at different private hospitals in the capital city on Thursday.

According to reports, one of the two affected persons died during treatment at the Apollo Hospital, while another person succumbed to the disease at Sum Hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, out of the 25 blood samples sent for examination on Thursday, four more persons have been found infected by the H1N1 virus.

With this, the total number of swine flu affected persons in the state rose to 365 out of the 1136 swab samples tested by the Health department, official sources said.

Earlier, the state government had issued guidelines to both government and private hospitals for the treatment of swine flu patients.
