Sweet and savoury industry included in Odisha’s IPR

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has decided to include the sweet and savoury industry in the Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) and the State Cabinet will approve the amendment in this regard soon, Industry minister Debi Prasad Mishra said here today.

With the new amendment, investors in the industry will get benefits in land acquisition, tax relief and procurement of raw materials, the minister said

Talking to media persons, Mishra said, “The sweet and savoury industry is a booming sector and has been brought into positive list of IPR policy.”

Besides, the State government is planning a special Healthcare Investment Policy to attract investment in healthcare sector, the minister added.
