Balasore/New Delhi: Taking a serious note of the incident in which a Divyang or disabled person was beaten up and kicked mercilessly by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Balasore station on Friday, Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today directed the Director General (DG) of RPF to probe the matter.

In a Twitter message, the Union Railway Minister informed about his decision on the RPF staff attack on the Divyang.

Meanwhile, Railway SP Sanjay Kaushal told newsmen, “The IIC has been directed to trace the Divyang and register his complaints.”

He further stated, “Action will be taken against the RPF staff if they are found guilty.”

Notably, on Friday, the RPF jawans had thrashed and kicked the Divyang for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from a train passenger at Platform No-4 at the Balasore station.
