Bhubaneswar: IIT aspirants from economically weaker sections of the society have good news as the 'Super 30' programme, an initiative by well known mathematician Anand Kumar of Bihar, is going to be launched in the city to train 30 meritorious students for IIT-JEE.
Super 30 founder Anand Kumar has announced today that he has plans to start the programme here. "Every year one or two students from Odisha come and join the super 30 group and give good results. So, we are planning to start the programme here. Now, we have selected 30 Class 10 pass outs and 30 Plus II students for the programme," informed Kumar.
The programme, which was started in Patna (Bihar) in 2002, will be organised by Adyant Plus II Science College here.
A screening test will be conducted on July 2 to select the best students.
