Rourkela: Vigilance sleuths today raided houses of Sundergarh Government Women’s College head clerk Ramesh Patel on charges of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known source of income.

Under the direction of the Sundergarh Special Vigilance Judge, three teams of the anti-corruption wing led by Bolangir Vigilance SP Parameswar Kisan simultaneously searched Patel’s residence at Nuapada, his ancestral house at Kudabega under Sadar block and his in-laws’ house at Jharakani.

During the raid, the officials recovered Rs 1 lakh cash, gold ornaments and luxury cars from his house. The teams are further inspecting other documents, after which the exact amount of disproportionate property possessed by the clerk would be revealed, said the Vigilance SP.
