Konark: Hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists were unable to enter the Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for the second day in a row as the protest over hike in entry fee launched on Friday continued on Saturday.

According to reports, members of Konark Surakhya Samiti, a local outfit, locked the ticket counter and staged a demonstration on Saturday making the world famous tourist spot out of the bounds for hundreds of tourists.

Many tourists, who came from outside the state expressed displeasure and returned disappointed.
It may be recalled here that the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) had implemented the entry fee hike at its protected monuments in Odisha from April 1 this year.
