Bargarh: The ‘Subha Stambha’ (holy stone) for the world famous Bargarh Dhanu Jatra was set up by the district Collector at the Hatapada field this evening.

Amid puja rituals, the Collector set up the holy stone which is considered as the Dhanu Jatra’s initial stage.

Earlier in the day, a procession started from the Maa Samaleswari temple and reached the Hatapada Sanchar field for further rituals.

The Bargarh Dhanu Jatra will be held for 11 days starting from December 23.
