Student Congress leader attacked in Capital

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Student Congress General Secretary Durgacharan Mahala was severely injured in a deadly attack by two miscreants in the Capital city on Wednesday.

According to sources, Durga was standing in Unit 9 area when he faced an unanticipated attack from two youths Chandan and Babul. The two struck him on his hand and head with a sharp weapon.

Severely injured Durga was immediately rushed to a private hospital here after local youths captured the miscreants.

They were later detained by police and their interrogation is on. Police is suspecting political enmity as the reason behind the attack.
