Sting Operation! Bees attack officials, visitors in Odisha Secretariat

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Secretariat here witnessed sudden hustle bustle after a swarm of honey bees attacked people including women and children and several government officials on its premises on Thursday.

As per sources, many Adivasis had gathered at the Secretariat and were sitting in the lawns for a programme of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik when all of a sudden, a large number of honey bees came buzzing towards the gathering driving people run helter-skelter in every possible direction.

Some ran all over the lawns, a few lay on the ground while others went inside the Secretariat building to save themselves from being stung.

However, sources said no one was seriously injured in the attack.
