Steel plant worker injured in fire mishap dies

Bonai: Worker of a privately owned steel factory in Lahunipada of Sundargarh died today while undergoing treatment at the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela for burns caused by a fire mishap occurred on Thursday.

The deceased worker of Bhaskar Steel located near Tumakela was admitted to the burn ward of IGH along with three others after suffering from 80 percent burn injuries due to the fire accident yesterday morning.

The three other injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Notably, a fire outbreak at the company’s quarters during the wee hours on Thursday caused the burn injuries to the four steel plant workers who were sleeping during the mishap.
