State Police Athletics Meet begins from today

Bhubaneswar: The State Police Athletics Meet will kick-start from today at the Kalinga Stadium in the Capital city.

As many as 52 teams of district police, battalion and units will participate in the four-day athletics event and a total of 1,000 athletes including 200 women will take part in the competition.

DGP RP Sharma inaugurated the sports village on premises of the 7th Battalion yesterday.

Sharma told mediapersons, "The sports meet will help identify athletes of national level and encourage others to participate in sports events."
