Bhubaneswar: Odisha State Government Employees Coordination Committee has called for an employee conference by the name ‘Bhubaneswar Chalo’ to protest state government's negligence in implementing 7th pay commission.

The committee has decided to observe the conference on August 9 as Kranti Divas alleging that even though the state government had promised for payment as per the recommendations of the 7th pay commission, it has failed in implementing it thus becoming a cause for resentment for lakhs of employees in the state.

The committee has warned of severe consequences in future if the government further delays implementation of the pay reforms.

The information regarding the conference was announced by the committee in a press meet held at Shramik Bhawan here on Sunday.
