Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet is meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at 9.30 am on Friday.

The meeting is likely to discuss and approve proposals of five departments.

The Health and Family Welfare department’s proposal for setting up of a University of Health Sciences is likely to come up for discussion at the meeting.

A proposal from the Cooperative department for Cash Credit loan of Rs 15 crore to the Aska sugar factory is likely to get the Cabinet nod.

A proposal from the Housing and Urban Development department on amendment to the Bihar Odisha Places of Pilgrimage Act will also come up for discussion.

Proposals from the General Administration department on appointment of a new OPSC chairman and recruitment of established sportspersons at Group-B government jobs and PSUs organizations are likely to get the Cabinet approval.

Besides, proposals on amendment to Odisha Gram Panchayat Act, Odisha Panchayat Samiti Act and Odisha Zilla Parishad Act will also come up for discussion at the Cabinet meeting.
