Sri Lankan Naval staff found dead inside cargo vessel

Dhamra: The body of a Sri Lankan Naval staff was found inside a cargo vessel at Dharma Port today.

The deceased has been identified as Priyantha D Silva (53), a resident of Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka.

According to reports, a Bangladeshi cargo vessel Bedford Castle was on the way to Dharma Port to upload iron ore. But before the vessel was docked in the berth, the crew members of the ship found D Silva dead.

Following information, Dhamra Marine Police went to the ship and took the body to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for post mortem.

Police has also informed the family members of the deceased who was a deck fitter.
