Bhubaneswar: With a dream in her eyes to win a medalin the Olympics for the nation as well as for the state, star Odia ace sprinter Srabani Nanda on Saturday left for Riode Jaeniro in Brazil to participate in the mega international multi-sports event.

According to reports, Srabani left for Dubai from Bengaluru last night. From Dubai she will leave for Rio.

During her departure to from Dubai to Bengaluru, School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad met her at the airport and wished her success in the event. He also handed over Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s letter wishing her the best for the Games.

Srabani will represent India in the 200-metre and 4X100 metre relay events at Rio Olympics.
