Bhubaneswar: The Special Vigilance Court will hear plea filed by Vigilance seeking 5-day remand of arrested IAS officer and OSIC MD Partha Sarathi Mishra.

The vigilance sought 5-day remand period for the officer on Friday after the court rejected his bail plea.

Following seizure of Rs 2.14 lakh from Partha Sarathai’s car, the anti corruption wing of vigilance raided his houses, offices and arrested him on Friday.

He was subsequently suspended from his duties after instruction from the Chief Minister.

Mishra owns three massive buildings one each at Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack whose value runs over Rs 2.5 crore.

Preliminary investigations to trace his total movable and immovable properties are underway.
