Space whiz Susmita Mohanty to lead ‘Mo School’ campaign in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today appointed space scientist Susmita Mohanty as the chairperson of the ‘Mo School’ campaign. Susmita will prove to be an ideal example for the boys and girls, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announced.

Mohanty is the Co-Founder and CEO of Earth2Orbit, a spaceship designer and serial space entrepreneur.

Susmita who was born in Cuttack has featured among 100 young innovators in the world and featured on the cover page of Fortune Magazine. She has spawned various space start-ups across the qworld and addressed the World economic forum, International Academy of Astronauts and United Nations.

‘Mo School’ campaign was launched by Naveen on Children’s day this year with an aim to promote volunteerism among the alumni of various schools to work for the development of their alma mater.

“Susmita Mohanty is appointed as the chairperson of the ‘Mo School’ programme . She is an example about what every Odia girl and boy can aspire and achieve given the right support,” said Naveen.
