Social activist’s picture on website: Lulu Sena demands resignation of Bramhagiri MLA

Bhubaneswar: Lulu Sena on Sunday turned the heat on Bramhagiri MLA Sanjay Das Burma in connection with the alleged misuse and posting of photograph of social activist Linkan Subudhi on a website.

Alleging involvement of Burma’s nephew, the activists of Lulu Sena staged a demonstration at Master Canteen and demanded the immediate resignation of the legislator.

Earlier Linkan had alleged that her picture was misused and uploaded on a social website. She had also brought the matter to the notice of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who had assured on stern action against the guilty.

Carrying out investigation into the sensitive matter, Chandrasekhar police had arrested a youth, Mithun Sahu basing on the complaint filed by Linkan on May 29.

However, the matter got entangled in a fresh controversy yesterday after Linkan alleged that the accused who has been arrested was not the actual culprit.

At a press conference, Linkan had demanded the arrest of the actual accused. Demanding a CBI probe, she has also questioned why BJD leader Sanjay Dasburma came up with an explanation on the incident.
