Bhubaneswar: Students of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University in the city here have levelled serious charges against the university after they returned jobless even though they got job offers through campus selection. They alleged the offer letters were fake.

The matter came to light after 50 students, who were selected for a Gurgaon based company, found their offer letters fake and returned without getting jobs.

According to reports, the students were selected to a number of companies through various campus recruitment drives conducted in the past.

The job aspirants have threatened to stage demonstration against such fraud before the University tomorrow.

However, the SOA university authorities have admitted the goof up  and expressed concern as their placed graduates have fallen victims of ‘fake imposters’ who had no connection in several companies.

The University has announced to provide a stipend of Rs 20, 000 to students for engaging them as teaching assistant for a period of one year or till they get jobs, whichever is earlier.

The entire course fee will be borne by the varsity for those who wish to pursue M.Tech degree in ITER, SOA University.
