Six students, woman hurt in road mishap

Malkangiri: Six school students and a woman were injured in a road accident near MV-126 village under Kalimela police limits in Malkangiri district this morning.

Reports said an auto-rickshaw was on its way to a school carrying six students and a woman when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a ghat road near MV-126 village. As a result, the vehicle skidded off the road and hit a roadside tree.

Following information, locals rushed to the spot and admitted the seven injured passengers at Kalimela Community Health Centre (CHC) from where the seriously injured woman was shifted to the district headquarters hospital as her condition became critical.

Meanwhile, police is on the lookout for the absconding auto driver.
