Six of a family critical in cylinder blast

Cuttack: At least six persons of a family, including a minor sustained serious burn injuries after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a house near Brahmapura Tarini Chhak in Tangi of Cuttack district on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident took place when they were reportedly connecting the gas cylinder and suddenly the cylinder burst.

Critical, all six of them were rushed to Banki hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack after their condition worsened.

Meanwhile, police have begun investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion.
