Six Kolkata bound Indigo flights make emergency landing at Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Inclement weather condition due to heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds in West Bengal forced six Kolkata bound Indigo flights to make emergency landing at Bhubaneswar.

Some other flights have also been diverted to Guwahati and other airports in the region, sources said.

Several other Bhubaneswar bound flights were also delayed as these were not able to take off from Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose international airport.

Similarly, departure of around 23 domestic flights from Kolkata to Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Imphal and Port Blair was halted due to bad weather.

The rough weather condition had also hit the air traffic in Bhubaneswar on Friday following which most of the flights were delayed and diverted.
