Six injured in political violence at Banki

Cuttack: As many as six persons were severely injured in a group clash over political affairs at Karadapalli village under Baideswar police limits of Cuttack on Saturday.

The tension was fallout of old enmity over political matters, sources said.

All the injured including Kaliboi sarpanch, Subash Swain have been shifted to Cuttack medical. Sources said Subash had sustained fatal injuries to both of his limbs after he received multiple attack with a dagger.

Meanwhile, to prevent any further flare ups, police forces have been deployed. Banki SDPO along with Baideswar IIC are closely assessing the situation.
