Cuttack: Black money worth about Rs 133 crore has been seized from different educational institutions across the country, vice chairman of the special investigating team (SIT) on black money formed by the Supreme Court Justice Arijit Pasayat said here today.

Talking to media persons after a meeting with top officials of the state at his residence here, Pasayat said, “Rs 83 crore cash was seized from an educational institution 15 days ago. Prior to this, Rs 30 crore cash was found from another educational institution.”

The SIT has submitted four reports in the Supreme Court in April. Pasayat added, “The fifth report will be submitted in the first week of September.”

Among others, DGP, officials of the Crime Branch, Enforcement Directorate, Mines and Income Tax departments were in attendance in the meeting.
