Bhubaneswar: BJD MLA from Khandapada Anubhav Patnaik has allegedly forged documents to transfer ancestral properties in his name. This was alleged by his sister Abantika Patnaik at a press meet here on Tuesday.

Abantika said Anubhav has barred her from entering their house. The MLA is questioning her marriage and discussing private subjects about her life publicly, she added.

"He claimed he has done everything from his own income and I do not have any right on it. I will have to fight a legal battle to get my share in the property which he has transferred in his name by forging documents. He is speaking about his sister's character regularly before media," said Abantika.

She has written a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seeking his intervention in the case.

Refuting the charges, Anubhav said he has never denied Abantika the right on ancestral properties.

"I have never said that she does not have the right on the property. I have always said she can take her share of the property but there was no property in the name of late Arun Patnaik. I have acquired the property through my own income so without giving such statements before media she can approach the court or hold discussions with the family members and take her share," said Anubhav.
