Bhubaneswar/Vizag: The family members of Shreyas Kesharwani, who allegedly died due to ragging at a college in Visakhapatnam, have expressed their displeasure over the chargesheet filed by the Andhra Pradesh police in connection with the case.

Shreyas' parents alleged that the PM Palem police of Andhra Pradesh that is investigating the case, has not included names of the college authorities in the chargesheet filed before the Juvenile Justice Board, Visakhapatnam on April 17.

"The PM Palem police have filed chargesheet in the case but they have not conducted probe on basis of the FIR lodged by me. The investigation is not satisfactory. The college authorities had not informed me when my son was in distress  after being assaulted in the college hostel," said father of the deceased student.

Shreyas hailing from Sambalpur had died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on January 6, 2018 after being allegedly assaulted by four students of Sri Chaintanya College in Visakhapatnam.

Shreyas family had requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to ensure proper investigation into the matter after which Patnaik spoke to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu demanding the probe to be carried by an independent agency.
