Shop-A-Flea: Festive Fashion, Food and Fun in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The residents of the city are getting to experience the combination of fashion, food and fun for the first time at the Shop-A-Flea carnival at The Crown Hotel.

Designers from various parts of the country have assembled at the hotel to showcase their creations. From sarees to jewellery, this carnival has it all. Bridal collections, traditional shoes along with mouth-watering cuisines are attracting visitors.

"This is my first time in Bhubaneswar. We are happy to display our designs out here. We are getting a very good response with a lot of buyers coming to us," said Mumbai-based designer Saugat Paul.

Fashion designers of the state are also happy to get a platform like this to display their creations and also interact with designers from outside Odisha.

"Being from Odisha, it is great to see a lot of designers from all around the country here in Bhubaneswar. We get to see the versatility from fashion designers coming from other parts of the nation," said Odia designer Poonam Kanungo.

The organisers are satisfied with the response they are getting in the city. They are hopeful that more events like this can draw more visitors.

Talking to Odishatv.in, organizer of the event Amrapali informed, "This is the first night-market we are organising in Bhubaneswar and we have well-known designers from various cities of India. There are 33 different brands. The response has been fabulous. Visitors are enjoying different cuisines as well."

Getting a chance to take a look at various designs of sarees, lehengas, shoes and all, the visitors are delighted that there is such an event taking place in the city right before Diwali.
