Sex slur: ASI thrashed black & blue in Mayurbhanj

Baripada: An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Thakurmunda police station in Mayurbhanj district was roughed up by villagers after they caught him with a woman in a compromising situation last night.

Getting information about the ASI's alleged illicit act, locals went to the spot and caught the cop red-handed with a woman in a compromising position. The angry locals detained the cop and started beating him black and blue before handing him over to Mahuladiha police.

As per a complaint lodged by the woman at Mahuladiha police station, the ASI identified as Manoj Kumar Seth has been in a sexual relationship with her by threatening her with dire consequences.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a complaint and detained the ASI for interrogation.
