Bhubaneswar: The owner of the rented house from where a sex racket was reportedly operational in Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar deposed before police today. He had been served a notice after the November 5 raid on the house.

Flesh trade in the guise of a massage parlour was allegedly running from the rented house. The mastermind of the racket, a government employee, was arrested on Monday by Commissionerate Police from Tikabali.

The arrested mastermind works as Village Level Worker (VLW) in Tikabali. Police arrested him after finding evidences on his involvement in the sex trade, said sources.

Commissionerate Police had on November 5, arrested four persons and rescued four women from the parlour. Besides, Rs 8,000, two motorcycles and objectionable items had been seized.
