Rourkela: Bandhamunda police busted a sex racket in the Sector-B area on the outskirts of Rourkela city last night and arrested a youth, two women and the house owner.
Talking to media persons today, IIC of Bandhamunda police station Sushant Kumar Das said the police got the information that one Sumitra Sonali Mitra has been running a sex racket in her house at Sector-B of Bandhamunda.
“Last night we got the information that Mitra has called two customers and two ladies to her house. Acting on the tip-off, a police team comprising a woman police officer raided her house at Bandhamunda and found two youths and two women in a compromising position. While one of the youth managed to escape, police arrested another youth named Pawan Kumar Agrawal and the two women. Police later seized cash worth Rs 400 and four condoms from the house,” Das said.
He further said during interrogation, the two women admitted that they are into the flesh trade. They also informed that they were called by the house owner.
“On the basis of the information, we brought the house owner to the police station for interrogation. We will conduct the medical test of these two women and the youth after which we will forward all of them, including the house owner, to the court later in the day,” the IIC added.
