Sex racket busted in Rourkela

Rourkela: Plant Site police on Tuesday busted a sex racket operating at the bus stand area in the Steel city.

According to sources, the police rescued a girl engaged in the flesh trade and arrested three persons, including a woman broker.

The arrested persons used to import girls from Kolkata and engage them in the sex trade in Rourkela, Jharsuguda and Bamda areas, sources in the police said.

Mahendra Pradhan, IIC of Plant Site police station, said, “Acting on a tip off, we raided the bus stand area and found two men and two women roaming suspiciously. When we interrogated them, we got to know that out of the two women one is a sex worker and the other three were brokers.”
