Sex racket busted in Bhubaneswar; 3 Thai women detained

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Friday busted a major prostitution racket that engaged women of foreign nationality after an ‘undercover’ operation.

Five including three women from Thailand have been detained while further investigation has been launched to uncover the entire sex racket that was operating in a clandestine manner from a Spa.

According to reports, police officers posing as customers had first reached the Spa and after collecting concrete information about the sex racket, a raid was conducted today.

Sources said that the particular Spa used to offer services to high-profile clients.

Senior officials informed that a detail probe will be conducted to find the persons, who roped in the girls from Thailand and other middlemen involved.

Meanwhile, Thai passports, a register containing names of some people have been recovered along with a few mobile phones.

This is for the third time that Commissionerate police have unearthed a sex racket operating from beauty parlors and similar units at Chandrasekharpur and Kharavela Nagar.
