Bhubaneswar: While people were busy celebrating the festival of colours, nearly five persons were injured in three separate group clashes across Odisha today.

In Cuttack, three persons were injured in firing during a clash between two groups in Gopalpur under Sadar police limits. The injured were identified as Sushant Rout, Kalindi Rout and Samir Rout, all residents of Pratapnagari. They have been admitted to SCB Medical College & Hospital for treatment and police have initiated a probe into the incident.

Similarly in Puri, two persons were injured after villagers of Juilunda attacked residents of Sebatipur village under Delang block of the district.

Another group clash erupted in Rourkela after a woman was misbehaved with during Holi celebrations in the city. Two groups clashed after a police complaint was filed over the alleged misbehaviour. Police had to resort to mild lathicharge to bring the situation under control.
