Servitor bleeds with head injury in Puri temple, rituals delayed

Puri: The Sri Jagannath temple here is under the process of cleansing after a little blood spill following an accidental fall of a servitor on temple premises today.  The rituals which have been delayed will continue soon after purification, sources said.

The incident took place when a servitor fell on the floor after his feet slipped accidentally at Kalahata gate of the shrine. He sustained injuries on head.

The rituals of deities which were delayed following the incident will resume after the temple gets cleansed with holy water as per tradition, sources said.
