Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: While Jaga, one of the separated conjoined twins of Kandhamal district, has started taking diet orally and showing signs of improvement, Kalia's condition on the other hand is unpredictable, AIIMS, New Delhi officials informed in a press release today.

As per the release, Jaga is happy on his mother’s lap and responding to music but Kalia’s condition is still unpredictable.

“Kalia is still in Neuro ICU. He has shown some improvement in movement of limbs but he will stay in ICU as is condition is unpredictable,” the release said.

Earlier some plastic surgery was conducted on Kalia by a surgeon from Coimbatore.

On November 3, Jaga was moved out of the ICU to the general ward and he started consuming semi-liquid food like banana juice and rice pudding.

A daily report on condition of Jaga and Kalia is prepared and is studied by experts, based on which their treatment and medication are decided, informed sources.

The current phase after the separation surgery of the duo is believed to be crucial. Meanwhile, the twins will be under supervision of AIIMS doctors for two more months, added sources.
