Seeking sympathy, youth carries old-age parents on sling to get justice

Baripada: Kartik Singh's attempt of carrying his old parents on a sling to appear in a woman harassment case before the court has caught everyone's attention. Kartik walked nearly 40 km barefoot from his home at Mohanpur under Morada police limits with his old parents on a sling hung upon his shoulders.

Sources said Kartik, accused in a woman harassment case of 2009 had to appear in the court from time to time. He has been alleging that police lodged a fake case against him.

“I have come here with my parents to appeal for justice before the judge. I have been wrongly accused in a harassment case but I have no idea about the woman. My attempt will at least let the judge know about how innocent people like me are implicated falsely,” Kartik said.
