Bhubaneswar: Following a series of question paper leak allegations in the ongoing Class 10 HSC examinations, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to enhance security at Plus II exam centres.

As part of the security, the CHSE director on Saturday said that no invigilators or any other staff at the examination centres can carry mobile phones. However, only the centre superintendent can have a mobile phone with him to remain in contact with the authorities, he stated.

Speaking at a presser, the CHSE director said, “If any case of question paper leak comes to the fore, stern action will be taken against those involved."

Strict vigil should be taken around the exam centre to ensure that question papers do not go out of the examination halls, he added.

A total of 3,65,826 students will appear for Plus-II examinations in the state this year which is scheduled to begin from March 6.

Earlier, Odisha government had imposed a ban on the entry of smartphones and other electronic gadgets into Matric examination halls.
