Nabarangpur: Four Congress activists including a party councillor were detained this morning ahead of the visit of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to Nabarangpur district today.

The Nabarangpur district administration has made elaborate arrangements including tight security prior to the Chief Minister's programmes in Umerkote, Dabugaon and Nabarangpur.

Sudhansu Shekhar Mishra, Nabarangpur SP, stated, “Total 46 platoons of police force have been mobilised from different parts of Nabarangpur as well as outside for the Chief Minister’s visit to the district. Besides, DSP and inspector rank officers have been deployed.”

Mishra added precautionary measures have been taken keeping in view of schedule of the Chief Minister’s programmes at three different locations in the district on one day.

As per the Chief Minister’s itinerary, Patnaik will fly to Jeypore in a special plane from Bhubaneswar and later to different places in a helicopter to attend programmes.
