Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Monday began the second phase of evaluation of the answer scripts of the annual Plus Two examinations this year.

Taking note of the inordinate delay in the first phase evaluation due to absence of a number of teachers, the Council has arranged evaluation in two shifts in the second phase.

The teachers are engaged in the first shift (From 8 AM to 12 noon) to e-evaluate the answer scripts of Science and Commerce papers which could not be evaluated in the first phase, while manual valuation of the answer scripts of the remaining subjects is being done in the second phase, starting from 12.30 PM to 5.30 PM.

Sources in the CHSE said valuation in the second phase has been expedited with more teachers joining the exercise.

“Going by the manner in which the valuation is going on in the second phase, I hope that the Council would be able to announce the results in the specified time frame with the cooperation from the teachers,” CHSE chairman Prof Basudev Chhatoi told media persons here.
