Bhubaneswar: The second and last phase of the budget session of the Odisha Assembly will begin today and is scheduled to continue till April 7.

The session is set to be a stormy one with opposition parties all set to corner the agriculture minister on a wide range of issues such as farmers’ suicides, the short-term pains and the structural problems and crisis of state agriculture.

Apart from this, major issues concerning Odisha such as political violence in the recently concluded panchayat polls, horse trading and the BJD-Congress alliance in the block Chairman and Zilla Parishad President election respectively are likely to dominate the proceedings in the House today.
