Bhubaneswar: The result of second Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) which was conducted on Thursday was announced today.

As many as 6,921 students including 5,766 students in B-Tech, 905 students in MBA and 250 students in MBA stream had enrolled for the test at 11 centres.

Out of 4958 examinees that appeared for admissions into B-Tech course, 4957 students have secured ranks. Similarly, 838 students have secured ranks in MBA while 237 examinees have got ranks in MCA stream.

The qualified students will have to report to their respective centres tomorrow to choose their preferred subjects. The final selection list will be published on August 13.

It is noteworthy to mention, the Orissa High Court on August 4 had directed the OJEE authorities to conduct a second OJEE after hearing a petition filed by Odisha Private Engineering Colleges Association (OPECA) to fill up vacant seats in B-Tech stream in the ‘reserved category.’

The Court had directed to State Government to complete the entire admission process by August 14 while making it clear that both general and reserve category students can appear for the special OJEE for MBA and MCA. The general category students on merit can be allowed to take admissions if there is still vacancy under the reserved category.
