Paradip: Intensifying its probe into Seaways general manager Mahendra Swain murder case, Paradip police on Friday served notice to arrested industrialist Mahima Mishra’s nephew Chimay Mishra asking him to appear before it by January 15.

Besides, the police has also noticed Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL)’s finance department DGM Rabindra Dalei asking him to depose before it by January 15.

Earlier on January 10, Dalei had also appeared before the police. He was questioned about financial transaction associated with Mahendra Swain murder case.

On January 11, Chandan Mishra and Charchit Mishra, two sons of arrested industrialist and managing director of OSL Mahima Mishra, appeared before the Paradip police.

The duo was questioned on certain financial dealings. Both of them were served notices by the police on January 8 to appear by January 11.

Till now police have arrested 8 persons in connection with the murder of Seaways Shipping general manager Mahendra Swain.

In a related development, a court here has allowed the police to take Mishra on a three-day fresh remand for further questioning. The remand of Mishra is likely to begin from tomorrow.
