Bhubaneswar: Police on Friday arrested one Susant Sethy, another accused in the sensational murder of Mahendra Swain, the general manager of Seaways Shipping and Logistics Private Limited (SSPL), from New Delhi.

Jagatsingpur SP Jaynarayan Pankaj informed this to media today afternoon.

“Susant was arrested from New Delhi airport. He is being brought to Odihsa on transit remand”, Pankaj said.
Police said Sethy will be produced before Kujang court.

“Then we will apply for his (Sethy) remand”, the SP stated.

Sources said Sethy is an employee of Orissa Stevedores Ltd (OSL) and is also a close aide of its managing director Mahimananda Mishra.

Police have so far arrested five accused– Rakesh Chaubey and Riyasat Hussain of Jamshedpur, Muhammad Samin of Jharkhand, and Manoj Gochhayat and Shiva of Cuttack in the case.

In a related development Kujang JMFC court on Friday issued non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Mishra in connection with the murder of Swain, General Manager of Seaways Shipping and Logistics Private Limited (SSPL).
