Bhubaneswar: A day after more-than-one-hour long questioning at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office here, Suryakhetra Foundation chief Bipin Bihari Mishra was quizzed again for two hours by the central probe agency officials on Saturday regarding Seashore Group’s links with bureaucrats and politicians.

Mishra, the former president of Mumbai-based Pravasi Odia Organisation, told newsmen after the questioning, “The CBI asked me about the Rs 1 lakh which Suryakhetra Foundation received as a donation from Seashore Group.”

Mishra further stated, “The donated amount was utilised for public welfare programmes and the documents supporting the claim have been submitted to the CBI officials.”

When asked about his personal rapport with Seashore Group chief Prashant Das, Mishra, a Seashore Sahitya Academy award recipient, replied, "I met Das for the first time at a function held by Seashore where I was one of the guests."

Notably, Mishra had yesterday negated the talks on his connections with Seashore Group after coming out of the CBI office here.

Sources said Mishra is suspected to be the middleman through whom the chit fund company had channelised some money to politicians and bureaucrats.
